Over six decades.
For 60 years, people have been the focus at Bergmann. The committed employees and satisfied customers create a constructive environment for constant progress and development. Numbers are secondary- experiences, decisions, ideas, and actions are what matter most. And there have been many of these over the past 60 years.
The Bergmann Story
1960
Our beginning: Founding of the company by Hermann Bergmann. Repair company for agricultural and construction machinery. Groundbreaking development of the first rear loader for tractors.
1962
The birth of the first Bergmann dumper with front-wheel drive, rear-wheel steering and three-side emptying. The beginnings – each product is a unique piece made by hand.

1971
Innovative initiative: development of the first shovel loader with four-wheel drive and articulated steering.
1980
Move from Haren to Meppen-Hüntel: Due to strong growth and the temporary availability of space, the company acquired a property in Meppen-Hüntel in the early 1980s, where construction of a new 2,500 m² hall soon began.
The 1980s began for the Bergmann company with a series of new inventions: After the move, Hermann Bergmann developed an articulated, all-terrain forklift with four-wheel drive. The license was later sold to the Claas company and was manufactured and distributed throughout Europe under the name “Unitrac” until the late 1990s.
