Our Mission: Sustainability from the Start

With our e-technology and innovative battery technology, we not only offer our customers economical solutions, but also contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and conserving natural resources.

 

In 2018, we developed battery modules, including our own battery management system adapted to Bergmann vehicles. Numerous tests and studies were carried out to investigate the climatic impact of the battery on people and the environment. The result is state-of-the-art lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFe). Good to know: In addition to their durability, the batteries also do without heavy metals such as nickel, cadmium and cobalt, thus excluding long-term environmental pollution. The in-house produced Bergmann batteries are installed both in the newly developed electric vehicles and as mobile energy storage. We source the battery cells from globally leading network partners. In our production, we supplement a reliable cell with a specially developed thermo and charging/discharge management and install these performance components in a special battery package. This distinguishes our production from other manufacturers.

 

Depending on the demands placed on them, the batteries have sufficient power for a second life, for example for use in stationary storage systems. Our powerhouse thus makes an important contribution to climate protection and at the same time improves the environmental balance, as it is environmentally friendly recycled.

Expertise since 1960: Pioneers in the Compact Dumper Category

For over 60 years, we have been at the forefront of compact dumpers. Our experience and expertise allow us to deliver top-quality “made in Germany” products that are not only high-quality but also long-lasting.

 

Since 2016, we have been gradually converting all series dumpers in the class up to 3,500 kg to our own developed, emission-free, and environmentally friendly electric drive. Since the end of 2022, we welcome a total of 7 electrically driven basic models in the payload class from 300 kg to 3,500 kg in our product portfolio. Our goal is to take responsibility, especially at sensitive locations such as inner-city construction sites, parks, or schools and kindergartens, by creating emission-free transport options with the electric dumper program.

Planet

Responsibility for the environment

We are aware that we have only one Earth, which is why we are careful with its natural resources. To minimize our company’s ecological footprint, we rely on innovative technologies and sustainable production processes.

 

We continuously invest in research and development of environmentally friendly solutions, which enable us to use energy more efficiently, reduce waste, and minimize the use of harmful chemicals. Additionally, we optimize our logistics processes and work closely with local suppliers to reduce CO2 emissions and minimize transportation routes.

 

We have been focused on using renewable energy and reducing CO2 emissions for many years. We constantly work on expanding our own photovoltaic facilities, and last year we were able to generate 60% of the necessary electrical energy through photovoltaics. In 2019, we joined eleven other companies in the region to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions through the “Energy Efficiency Network.”

 

In the course of recent construction measures, charging stations for electric cars were also installed on the company premises.
