Efficient dust binding on construction sites – Bergmann presents innovative new product

With the increasingly hotter and drier summers, the construction industry is increasingly faced with the challenge of efficiently irrigating large areas and construction roads and binding dust. Dust pollution on construction sites continues to increase and puts a strain on both people and machines. Water vehicles have long been standard on American road construction sites to minimize dust pollution. In Germany, too, the official requirements for dust binding are becoming increasingly strict. The off-road solution comes from Bergmann: the brand new Bergmann Water Cart. With an impressive capacity of 12,000 liters, the compact machine has a wide range of applications in irrigation, dust binding, vegetation fire fighting and prevention.

A real powerhouse with an impressive design.

Since the beginning of the year, the tried and tested Bergmann C815 has also been available in a water tank version. The specially developed water tank fits seamlessly into the design of the machine and significantly expands the possible applications. The optionally available front extinguishing monitor of the Bergmann Water Cart impresses with a flow rate of 2,000 liters per minute. The joystick-controlled front cannon is located directly in the operator’s field of vision, enabling precise work. The four hydraulically adjustable spray heads on the sides of the tank can be controlled individually via an ergonomic control panel, as can all other important functions such as water flow and throw distance, which can be conveniently regulated from the driver’s seat. This means that the irrigation can be optimally adapted to the construction site conditions in order to reduce or even avoid dust emissions caused by construction site traffic. All technical components are arranged compactly and easily accessible at the rear of the tank unit. These include a 30-meter-long hose line for various tasks, a rear view camera and a suction connection for self-filling from rivers or lakes.

The components of the Water Cart can be put together, arranged and equipped individually by the customer. A highlight is the quick-change system, which allows the Water Cart to be configured for different construction site requirements. In addition to various tank designs, the machine can also be quickly converted into a construction site dumper with an 8m³ earth trough or a loading platform in order to handle material transport.
